Q:

Can a cookie be used as a frisbee?

A:

Yes! A cookie is flat on the bottom and curved on top - remind you of anything? Yes, the frisbee! The frisbee's curved top is shaped like an airfoil, which is the shape of an airplane wing. This curve forces the air on top of the wing (or frisbee, or cookie) to move faster, which means it will lower in pressure. the high pressure from the slow air underneath will push it up; this is lift, the same way airplanes fly! The thin shape will also be streamlined so as to avoid drag.
