Q:

Can you take a shower on a space craft?

A:

Yes! Astronauts can take showers while on the International Space Station. It is very important for them to stay clean since astronauts exercise up to two times a day. In space they can’t use a standard shower since the water flow can’t be controlled. Instead they use washcloths wet with soapy water to rub themselves clean. They also use no rinse shampoo for their hair since it doesn’t require extra water. The best part of this system is that is uses minimal water, and any excess water is sucked out through the filtration systems and turned into clean drinking water for later.
