Q:

How does a drone fly?

A:

Drones, or UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), are just like miniature airplanes, only with no one inside of them. This means they fly just like planes do - with wings to produce lift and engines to produce thrust. The big difference is that instead of having open space inside for people to fly in, drones are full of instruments. They are also much lighter than a plane, since they do not have to carry safety measures for people. This means that they are not as burdened by weight and they can fly farther and longer!
