Q:

How does a person bail out of an aircraft?

A:

To bail out of an aircraft, the pilot must eject himself (or herself) from the plane. This is done in situations when the plane is doomed to crash, and the pilot must get away quickly. Most military jets have ejection seats, that work by releasing a charge under the seat to propel the pilot away from the plane. He will then deploy his parachute, and fall slowly to the ground.
