How does the roll of an aircraft help the aircraft fly?
A:Submit a Question
Airplanes use roll to rock from side to side. This motion causes one wing to be higher than the other, changing the lift generated by either one. The pilot can then use the unbalanced lift forces to bank the plane and help it turn.
