An airplane would probably not still be able to fly if you increased its size but kept its proportions. This is because as you change the size of an airplane, it has to be scaled properly according to Reynolds Number. This means that to properly scale the plane, you can't scale it based on its size but instead based on its Reynolds Number. Specifically, you have to look at the chord length of the wings and the velocity of the airplane.
