Q:

Is it possible for a fighter plane to have thrust if it is electric?

A:

It is possible to generate thrust from electricity, unfortunately there is no current method of propulsion relying on electricity to match the speed of a fighter jet. One way to generate thrust from electricity is a simple electric motor used to power a fan or a propeller. A large problem with electric aircraft is generating or storing the electricity used to power the plane. Batteries are fairly big and heavy and have limited range. Some aircraft use use solar panels to generate that electricity, unfortunately the only generate enough electricity to power an ultralight aircraft, limited to typically one or two people at most.
