Q:
Why is the sky blue?
A:
When sunlight is filtered through the atmosphere it runs into tiny particles and gasses that scatter light in all directions. Blue light is scattered more than any other color because it travels in shorter, smaller waves. With blue light scattered the most we see a blue sky.
