Is the airfoil's high pressure on the bottom or the top?
A:
The air pressure on the bottom of the airfoil is higher than on top. When air passes both above and below the airfoil, the air on top moves faster because of the curve, causing it to have a lower air pressure. This is according to Bernoulli’s principle, which states that faster moving air has less pressure than slower moving air. This is what causes the airplane to lift into the air.
