Besides the airplane, what other inventions have been created based on change in air pressure logic?

A:

Helicopters fly using similar properties of airplane flight. They use propeller thrust to rise into the air, creating a lesser pressure above the blades than below, which thrust the heicopter into the sky.

 

Hot air balloons also follow the properties of air pressure to fly. Hot air is less dense then cooler air, which is why it rises. A hot balloon works by allowing the hot air to rise only inside the balloon, which carries the ballon upwards.
