Q:
Can we fly to a black hole to check it out?
A:
Unfortunetly, the closest black hole is a few hundred light years away, and, by definition, very hard to see. It would take a very long time for any astronaut to get there, and once they did, they would be trapped by the strong gravitational pull of the black hole, unable to get back to Earth.
