Q:
Can you provide detail about a manometer with its all types?
A:
A manometer is used to measure the pressure or flow of a fluid in a pipe or surrounding atmospheric pressure. There are 5 types of manometer: a U-type manometer, a well-type manometer, an inclined tube manometer, a dual tube manometer, and a sealed tube (absolute) manometer.
The most classic, the U-Type (or U-Tube) is shaped like a U, and has liquid resting in the bottom. To find the pressure, one tube is subjected to the pressure to be measured: the difference in pressure will make the liquid rise in one side of the tube and lower in the other, and that difference in hight can be measured and associated with a value of pressure.
