How is buoyancy different from Archimedes Principle?

Buoyancy describes the force that a fluid exerts on an object of different/lesser density than itself.

 

Archemedes' principle describes one aspect of buoyancy: that the buoyant force exerted on an object under a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid it displaces. So if the object is one cubic centimeter in volume, then the weight of one cubic centimeter of water will press on every side of it.
