How can we measure pressure?
A:
We call pressure measuring instruments manometers or barometers. Some, like barometers, use liquid to help measure atmospheric pressure. They use a long thin tube that looks like a thermometer; when the air exerts a stronger pressure on the tube, the liquid is forced to rise, and an accurate reading can be taken.
