Q:
How could you explain the four basic principles that provide thrust in all engines?
A:
The four basic principles that provide thrust for all jet engines are air intake, compression/fuel mixture, combustion, and exhaust. During the air intake stage, air comes into a chamber, then the air is mixed with fuel, compressed, ignited and combusted. The compression and combustion stages are the fundamental stages that provide the thrust since they create the direct force to propel the engine forward. The high speed exhaust phase is a concequence of the production of thrust.
