Q:
How do I reduce drag on a rocket?
A:
Actually, drag, or air resistance, doesn't affect rockets in space, because there is no air in space. In fact, the only forces of flight that apply to space are gravity (weight) and thrust. However, we can reduce drag on items flying in the atmosphere by making the aircraft more streamlined, or changing the shape so as to allow the air to move around the object smoothly.
