Q:
How do jet packs work?
A:
The 'classic' jetpack we see on TV works the same way as a rocket does. Using compressed gas, the pilot can open a hole in the canisters, which creates a stonger pressure on the top of the canisters than on the bottom, because the escaping gas isn't pushing. The jetpack goes soaring up! The pilot can control how much air escapes, thus controlling the thrust.
