Q:

How do Kepler's Laws affect the solar system?

A:

According to Kepler's first law, The planets should go around the sun in an eliptical orbit - which they do. The second law states that the planet's speed will alter depending on how close it is to the sun. Our planet will move faster along its path the closer we get to the sun.

The third law shows a relationship between the distance of the planet from the sun and the length of its orbit. Each of the planets in our solar system follow this rule!
