Q:
How does air having mass help create lift
A:
Air is stuff, which creates pressure, and air pressure is the reason lift is possible! This relates to Bernoulli's Principle, which states that faster moving air has lower air pressure, and slower moving air has higher air pressure. This is why, when air on top of a airplane wing moves faster than the air on the bottom of a wing, there is more pressure under the airplane to lift it into the air!
