Q:
How does drag happen?
A:
Drag is the force of flight that pushes an airplane opposite to the direction that it is moving. Pressure drag, friction drag, vortex drag, and wave drag are all different types of drag. The biggest causes of drag are friction (air rubbing against a surface), and differences in air pressure. Aircraft speed and shape affect the amount of drag an aircraft generates.
