Q:
How does a rocket change its direction once it lifts off?
A:
Pilots can change the direction of the exhaust of the rocket, switch the engines on to off, and use extra rockets on the side of the main rocket, called Vernier rockets, to change course and land somewhere safe. Once the rocket has escaped the earth, it can use thrusters to change direction and orientation.
