How does wind affect aerodynamics?

A:

Wind is just air that is moving relative to the earth. Flying in a constant wind is no different that flying in still air, although you might move faster, slower, or sideways relative to the ground!

 

Wind that changes direction or speed rapidly can lead to increased turbulence. This can result in increased drag and decreased lift in addition to the shaking you feel on an airplane.
