Different wing configurations will affect how well an airplane flies, how well it turns, how much weight it can carry and many other things. Wing configuration has to do with a number of factors including size, shape, angle, location, and more. For example, fighters with short wings have greater maneuverability than commercial planes with longer wings. Each wing type has advantages and disadvantages which are considered when choosing wings for airplanes with different purposes.
