Force is related to acceleration through the equation F=ma. “F” stands for force, “m” stands for mass and “a” stands for acceleration. Force is a push or pull that an object can exert on other objects. Acceleration is the rate of change of an object’s speed. If an object has mass, and is accelerating through space, then the object can exert a force. This principle is described by Newton’s second law of motion.
