Clouds may look light and fluffy, but since they're made of water, they can weigh a whole lot. 

The problem is, no one can just take a cloud and place it on a scales. To figure out a cloud weighs, scientists need to estimate the density of the cloud, as well as its size. 

Estimates of a cumulus cloud puts its weight at 500,000 kg (1.1 million pounds) or about the weight of 100 elephants! Every cloud is different, but that shoudl give you an idea of how heavy they can be!
