Ask an Explainer
Q:
Since the shuttle isn't flying anymore, how do astronauts get to the International Space Station?
A:
Sice the Space Staion is international, other participating countries can provide crafts to ferry astronauts and supplies back and forth. The Russian Soyuz is the spacecraft of choice at the moment for maned missions, but supplies can be carried up by various different capsules, such as Dragon from SpaceX.
