Q:
Is steady, level flight possible?
A:
Steady flight is what pilots call a flight with no acceleration. Lift, Weight, Drag and Thrust are balanced, and the plane is neither acceleraing nor deceleraing. This can happen during a climb, a dive, or level flight.
Steady, level flight is when a plane flies at a constant velocity along a level trajectory (parallel to the earth). It is possible once the plane has reached this equilibrium, when all four forces of flight are blanced.
