Entropy is a measure of the random activity, or unusable energy, in a thermodynamic system, while enthalpy is a measure of the overall amount of energy in the system. Energy can come in a few different forms including light, heat, and sound. A thermodynamic system is one that interacts and exchanges energy with the area around it.
