Q:

What is an atmosphere?

A:

The astmosphere of the planet earth is a layer of oxygen and nitroygen gas, held to the earth by our planet's gravity. It provides air for us to breathe and creates a pressure on our skin. Some other planets have atmospheres, but they are not all made of the same gasses that make up Earth's atmosphere.

However, AN atmosphere is a measure of air pressure, which is worth 101,325 pascals (or 14.7 pounds per square inch).
