Q:

What is the difference between mass and weight?

A:

Weight is the amount of pull (from gravity) on an object, whereas mass is the amount of matter in an object. Mass does not change when you go into space, however your "weight" will. You can go here to see what you would weigh on different planets! The reason your weight changes is due to gravity. Since each planet is a different size and density, the amount of gravitational pull each planet has is different. Mass, however, or the amount of "stuff" you're made of, will not change if you go into space!
