Ask an Explainer
Q:
What happens if you are in space and you go all the way into the black space what would you find? Are there planets there or unknown stars or is it infinite space?
A:
From what we know of the universe, space is infinite. The problem is, it is so large, some light from far away hasn't even reached us yet, so we can't see farther then 14 billion light years away.
This means that our past our galaxy, there are many more, countless galaxies, full of their own stars, solar systems, and planets. It's not just empty, black space!
