Q:
What is the relationship between dynamic pressure and Mach number?
A:
Dynamic pressure and Mach number both are found by using an airplane's velocity. Dynamic pressure is found by taking half of the density of the air and multiplying it by the velocity of the airplane squared. This looks like 0.5 x density x v
elocity^2. The Mach number is the speed of the airplane divided by the speed of sound. So both dynamic pressure and Mach number take into account the airplane's velocity.
