Q:
What is the relationship between pressure and speed in airflow?
A:
According to the Bernoulli principle, as the flow of air accelrates, it has a lower pressure than slower-moving air. Air picks up speed as it flows over the curved upper surface of a wing, called an airfoil. By doing so, the wing has lower pressure on top and higher pressure on the bottom, creating lift.
