Q:

What is weight determined by?

A:

Weight is the measurement of the gravity of one object pulling on another object. All objects are made out of matter, what we call mass. When we measure the pull of gravity on the mass of an object, we get weight. The more massive an object is, the more gravity will be acting upon it, and so it will have more weight. The mass of an object will always stay the same, but the weight can change depending on the size of the larger object, as well as how far away the objects are from each other.
