Where was the first space ship invented?

A:

In space travel, there are many “first” accomplishments. The first man-made satellite was Sputnik. It was built and later launched in 1957 by the Soviet Union, now called Russia. The first manned spacecraft was also built and launched by the Soviet Union. It was called Vostok 1. It carried Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin into space in 1961. The first spaceship that landed humans on the Moon is called Apollo 11, built and launched by the United States.
