Ask an Explainer
Q:
Can you explain the purpose of throttle?
A:
A throttle is used to control how much power, and therefore thrust, that the plane creates. Sometimes planes don't want to go as fast as possible, like when they are landing. The throttle is used to keep the engines running, but not running at full power.
