How do you measure the steam flow in a steam turbine?

A:

To measure the steam flow on the blades, we need to measure the flow from each of the nozzles conected to the turbine blades. To do this, we use something called a pitot tube, which can measure the air flow velocity. 

 

We also need to know the density of the flow and the area of flow - the product of these factors gives us the value of the steam flow.
