A:
Yes. You can steer a plane by controlling how much thrust is coming from each engine. This has been used many times by pilots dealing with a hydraulic failure in an emergency. Even aircraft as large as a Boeing B-52 Stratofortress have managed to maintain control over yaw with no tail and land safely!
