Q:
Is the speed of airflow at a given altitude equal to the speed of the aircraft or it can be calculated from known parameters ?
A:
Air is not static, it is in constant motion thanks to changes in temperature and pressure. The actual speed of the airflow has many variables, but can be calculated. These days there are instruments that do the calculations for pilots.
